Lazy

Okay so I have procrastinated long enough. I have been wanting to post this for a couple weeks, but I have been sick and lazy too. You know how they say that after the third month in pregnancy your nausea is supposed to go away? Well, this is not true for most women in my family, including me. My first trimester came and went, and I am still nauseated at least half the time. I have been able to get some things done, but nothing major, and I would like life to get back to normal!

Here in Corvallis we are still waiting for summer to show up. Our temperatures are still in the 50's and it rains or spits on and off. Not typical for this area. So while we wait, I do what I can with Levi at home. We've done song time (he loves this a lot), story time, tv time, and toy time. However, Levi misses his pool (he went in it once with his cousins before they went back to Chicago), and I am doing all I can to distract him. We've tried to go to the park, but I end up freezing the entire time.

Levi has been having a hard time the last couple weeks letting go at nursery. He wants Justin to stay with him for half an hour or more. But this Sunday I told Justin to just leave, and he seemed to do just fine. He loves nursery and calls his leaders Grandma and Grandpa. Here is a shot of how I found him one Sunday I picked him up. You can't fully tell, but he has marker all over the lower part of his face and both hands, not to mention his shirt and tie.

Since I finished Levi's train set-up he has been trying to pull the pieces off the base. He gave up for a little because he wasn't having any luck (they are nailed and screwed down). But a month or so ago he started again and has successfully ripped off many parts. Well with several screws and nails now exposed and numerous parts missing, we knew it was time to throw it away. So with Levi looking the other way I took the railway to the garbage. Levi does notice it is gone and wants to know where it is, but he seems to still play with his trains without it, so not a huge loss.

With Justin having more time coming up here soon we have a list of things we need to get done this summer. Some here at our place, and some helping my parents out at their house. Looking at the list I am a little overwhelmed, but as long as we take our time and not stress about anything, we'll be fine. We are going to get Levi's room and our room (and the apartment in general) ready as we can for the new baby. At garage sales the last couple weeks I have found some great deals on things that would have cost us a lot of money. I bought a practically new crib with mattress, bumper, and bed linens for $50!! It is in great condition and would have easily cost me over $200 at the store. That is probably my best buy. My mom found a small swing for the baby (more compact than most you find) for $5, probably would have cost at least $45 at the store. We also found a porta-crib at a garage sale for $5. It isn't is excellent condition, but it is in good condition and well worth the $5. All I am looking for now are a dresser and changing table. I have a changing table, but I want one that will take up less space. So I am moving along nicely with baby gear!

I am gearing up for Girls Camp as it is only two weeks away now. Justin is mentally gearing up for his Sons of Helaman (or High Adventure). He will only be going part of the time, but he is really excited about it. Right now we are just making sure we have access to all the supplies he needs. I, on the other hand, am making sure my girls are ready, scheduling lice checks, and buying supplies for my ward. I think I made the right decision not to attend girls camp since I am still not feeling well. I hope that after this the bishop will release me so that next year the girls will have a director who can attend camp with them. They no longer allow women to bring their children, and I will have a six month old at home. But we'll see.

That's all from us. Not too many pictures, but if the weather gets better than we'll have more!
